Does This Sounds Like You?
You've experienced years of gender incongruence, but the constant question of whether you're "trans enough" has kept you from socially or medically transitioning.
You're out to your friends and family, but it still feels like you're burdening people when you ask them to use your actual name and pronouns.
You came out after getting into your relationship and now there's distance between you and your partner, leaving that uncomfortable in-between space.
You don't know if how you're feeling is due to dysphoria, anxiety, depression, or trauma.
Therapists have either focused only on your gender identity while overlooking other aspects of your life, or made you feel unsafe with their unspoken, or blatant, judgments in the room.
You identify as non-binary, genderqueer, or agender and you're tired of molding yourself into a world that asks you to check one of two boxes.

My Unique Approach
Wherever you are with your gender, we work from there. Exploration doesn't have to be a straight line and you don't need to have it all figured out. You don't owe me an explanation of the basics and you don't need a finished answer either.
I'm a cisgender male and I won't pretend to share your lived experience, but I've done the work to make sure that gap doesn't show up in session. I completed specific coursework and clinical training during my Master's program that helped me develop a deeper understanding of the trans community. I also completed a year-long clinical graduate internship at the Resource Center, an LGBT non-profit, where the majority of my caseload consisted of trans individuals, I led trans support groups, and I administered HRT assessments. Currently, I regualry work with trans clients navigating trans-specific issues, life stressors, and trauma.

What You Can Expect
By the end of the therapy process, you can expect to feel more secure in yourself, your gender identity, and your relationships. You can also expect a better understanding of your emotional world, and ideally, the ups and downs of life will feel less destabilizing as you build the inner resources to navigate difficult times.
