My Approach: Emotionally Focused Therapy

Smiling man with curly hair and a short beard wearing a rolled-up sleeve button-up shirt standing in front of abstract framed wall art in a cozy room.

My clinical approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy, an evidence-based, attachment-focused model built on a simple idea: most of our pain doesn't come from being "too sensitive" or "too much," it comes from unmet needs for connection and safety. When we understand what's underneath a reaction instead of just managing the reaction itself, things start to shift.

Whether you're working with me one-on-one or as a couple, expect help identifying patterns in your emotions and relationships, and emotional processing that makes the ups and downs of life feel less intense over time.

FAQ's

For every question, there’s a good answer.

Don't let questions stop you from recieving the therapy you deserve!

How do I get started?

Reach out to schedule a free consultation call. From there, we'll find a session time that works for your schedule.

Is therapy in person or telehealth?

Both. I'm located in Uptown Dallas, and I also offer telehealth to anyone living in Texas.

Do you take insurance?

For individual therapy and couples therapy I am in the process of getting in network with BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, UHC, Optum, UMR, and Baylor Scott & White.

What if I want to stop therapy, or it's not the right fit?

That's completely okay. I'm happy to help you find another therapist and keep a list of providers I can refer you to.

How much does therapy cost, and how often will we meet?

Individual sessions are $150 for 53 minutes, and couples sessions are $180 for 53 minutes. I typically recommend starting weekly to build momentum, then spacing out sessions once things feel more stable.
