Does This Sounds Like You
You're looking to try therapy again with someone who understands your lived experience as a queer person.
You're wondering how EMDR could help you process your trauma at a deeper level.
You've struggled to share with anyone the doubts you have about your faith, and you're ready to talk about it.
You've been feeling distant from your partner for a while, and you're ready to start couples therapy.

My Unique Approach
My clinical approach is rooted in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), an evidence-based, attachment-focused model built on a simple idea: most of our pain doesn't come from being "too sensitive" or "too much." It comes from unmet needs for connection and safety. When we understand what's underneath a reaction, instead of just managing the reaction itself, things start to shift.
Whether we're working one-on-one or as a couple, I'll help you identify the patterns in your emotions and relationships, and guide you through the kind of emotional processing that makes the ups and downs of life feel more manageable. Over time, this builds a stronger relationship with yourself, your partner, and others.
I also use EMDR, one of the most research-backed treatments available for trauma and PTSD.
If you've done therapy before and left feeling like you understood your patterns intellectually but still reacted the same way in the moment, EFT is built to close that gap. It works with emotion directly, not just insight about emotion.

What To Expect From Individual Counseling
Therapy with me typically moves through a few phases. Early on, we'll focus on understanding your history, identifying your emotional and relational patterns, and building a foundation of trust and safety. From there, we'll work on processing the emotions underneath those patterns, not just talking about them, but experiencing and shifting them in session. As things progress, we'll check in regularly on what's changing and adjust the pace to fit what you need.
By the end of this work, most clients report feeling less reactive to old triggers, more secure in their relationships, and more confident in their sense of who they are.
